Worldwide Loran-C Signals and Space Weather
March 2009

Receiver: location Nuernberg 49.4159 N 11.1347 W, 8 m wire antenna in a tree, IF 11.8 kHz, bandwidth 22 kHz
Vertical time scale: 20 minute/pix with hourly ticks (quarter resolution of original 5 min averages)
Horizontal time scale: 22050 samples/s, 1.09 ms around expected pulse incidence
Colours: brightness proportional to fieldstrength (1/r distance and power corrected), colour hue shows 100 kHz carrier phase relative to Sylt groundwave

New observations:
- Mar. 6: GRI 6780 moved to zero TAI offset. All three Chinese chains (GRIs 6780, 7430, 8390) now adhere to the TAI time frame.
- Apr. 2: GRI 5990 (unid Chayka) timing: Master received about 28.9 ms after TAI frame, clock about 2E-9 slow. Three secondaries at 15.57, 32.6, 46.15 ms time difference here.
- Apr. 3: GRI 5960 (unid Chayka): active daytime only (05:00 to 15:00 UT). Master received 16.3 ms after TAI frame. Two weak secondaries at 12.0 and 49.6 ms TD here.
